2020 UNR CONCRETE CANOE TEAM
Colton Dodge and Libby Elliott
To design and construct a lightweight, hydrodynamic canoe out of one of the world’s oldest forms of pavement: Concrete. This year long project will be a challenging and fun feat of engineering that all can enjoy. Through hands-on constructions you will make friends, memories, and a canoe!
Next General Meeting: Thursday, October 10th, 6pm SEM 119
Practice: Saturday and Sunday, 8AM-10AM Sparks Marina
Upcoming Construction: Saturday, October 12th starting at 11:00AM at the Nevada Agriculture Experiment Station
920 Valley Rd, Reno, NV 89512
We will be building a practice canoe this weekend using resin and fiberglass so please bring long pants and shirt that you do not care about because they WILL be destroyed. Same goes for shoes (they, however, don’t have to be longer than average).
Pop off of the canoe is scheduled for Sunday October 13th and hopefully will not take all day, all things going as planned
If you are interested in canoe or have any questions, please feel free to contact us at the email above or come into SEM 119 and we can answer any questions that you might have.
Also, we need a ton of pictures of the process and of club events so if you have any pictures please send them to email@example.com or send us your email so we can share the album and you may add to it. Thank you for your help!!!
